Put it somewhere in the house and make a fire to stop the horde from attacking your base
– In-game description

Description[]

"Put it somewhere in the house and make a fire to stop the horde from attacking your base"

"Make a fire and keep it burning to avoid horde attacks"

"After the victory over the witch, zombies will stop attacking for 72 hours, and there will be a timer over the infected forest showing how much time is left before the next boss respawn. However if the crowd of the walking dead are already on their way, they will reach your base as usually. With any luck, you can get a trophy from the witch, which you can place at the home location. As long as the torch is burning, the horde won’t come out of the infected forest, which is why you have to feed the fire with logs, planks and coal just like workbenches to keep it going."
