Description[]
Commune is a time limited event on the Global Map. It appears as season specials and first appeared in Season 16, returned in Season 20 with some changes (for example, the three challenges are simultaneously available during the whole duration of the event). It has returned again in Season 47 lasting for 5 days.
You can find Carrie, Marcus, Otis, and Sophia to complete challenges and daily tasks in the Commune. There are other NPC's except the four main, available in the Commune whom the player cannot interact with.
Marcus is available from Week 1, Otis is available during Week 2, and Sophia is available during Week 3 while Carrie is available during the whole of the season duration.

Daily tasks[]
Daily tasks are offered by Carrie for reward points and Family reputation. She is located by the bonfire in the central square of the Commune. Three quests are available every 24 hours, ranging from 1 threat to 3. Rewards are 10 reward points and 50 Family reputation, 15 reward points and 75 Family reputation, 20 reward points and Family reputation, consecutively.

Trial of Will[]
"Kill all zombies before the room gets filled with gas. If you die, the trial will end."
There are three waves for each trial. 100 offerings are risked in the initial trial. For every successful trial, the offering risked to start a new one doubles. One out three random reward can be chosen every wave. You can end the trial prematurely and claim the reward or risk everything and continue on with the trial. Each trial, a random enemy perk is added and during trial, the room is filled with poisonous gas. If the room is completely filled with gas, it will instantly kill the player. It takes 45 seconds to get the room filled with gas. A Gas Mask or CBRN Combat Helmet can be equipped to protect the player from gas damage.

Three chosen item rewards, 500 Marcus reputation and 30 reward points can be collected after finishing the trial. The trial updates and the offering risked resets every 24 hours. If the player dies during the trial, all rewards, reputation and points are lost. The player's body will become available to access near the entrance of the Commune.

Trial of Fortitude[]

There are three waves for each trial. 100 offerings are risked in the initial trial. For every successful trial, the offering risked to start a new one doubles. One out three random reward can be chosen every wave. You can end the trial prematurely and claim the reward or risk everything and continue on with the trial. Each trial, a random enemy perk is added. The trial is set in a swampy terrain and is continuously being bombarded by a mortar dealing 62 damage. Rubber Boots can be equipped to increase movement on the swampy terrain.

Trial of Blood[]
"Defeat more zombies than your opponent. If you die, the trial will end."
There are three waves for each trial. 100 offerings are risked in the initial trial. For every successful trial, the offering risked to start a new one doubles. One out three random reward can be chosen every wave. You can end the trial prematurely and claim the reward or risk everything and continue on with the trial. Each trial, a random enemy perk is added. The Sophia's assistant fights along with the player, but the player must have the last blow to the enemy for it to count as a kill. Killing Bloodthirsty Pest, Diseased Wolf, Sick Cruncher, and Slasher (Bunker Bravo) will leave a blood stain on the ground and will continuously deal 10 damage to the player if stepped into. Each wave lasts for 1 minute and 30 seconds, failing to kill the required number of enemies within the time limit will end the trial.
