Description[]
Abandoned Factory, in-game also referred to as simply Factory, is an permanent location on the Global Map during replacing Pine Wood as v1.19.4, and plays a role in obtaining Dish Antennas in Act 2: New Beginning.
The location will reset in 24 hours (48 hours in Beta v1.19.4) upon entering.
Information[]
To enter the main building, You must follow the survival path, once you unlocked the settlement you get a task to meet Rachel there, then you can enter. you need to bring at least 6 Transistors to repair the power boxes needed to open the main door. You can also bring an extra 6 for repairing the forklift and second power box. The forklift box mostly has bad loot but can sometimes have a Glock 17. Activating all the valves and switches will allow you to open a box hanging from a crane. This typically is as bad as the forklift, but can occasionally have rare items.
The first time you visit, you will be tasked with breaking down some boxes blocking the basement entrance with a Shovel. If you do not have a shovel, to get one you must go the the Oak Tree north of the factory surrounded by tall grass. There will be a shovel in front of it. Be warned that zombies will ambush you from the tall grass.

Hazards[]
The factory has only gas, but the basement has several hazards which can easily kill an inattentive player.
Poisonous Gas[]
To enter the basement, one must turn off the poisonous gas as it blocks you from doing so. The valves can be found in 2 rooms to the right of the factory. Once the gas is off, you can also loot a box on a conveyor that was once blocked by gas. The gas does 15 damage every 0.5 seconds, so be wary.
Poisonous gas also floods the halls of the basement. The only way to disable it is by turning valves inside the basement. To access these valves, you must kill the zombies guarding them and brave the gas. You need healing items as well. The valves only disable the gas in a certain room. The gas does 15 damage a second.
Keep note that the valves needed to turn off the gas are dependent on the basement variant. Some valves will be marked on the minimap but cannot be interacted with.
Electricity[]
There are several puddles of water spread out the basement that are electrified. The player will take excessive damage if they step into these puddles. The electricity can be disables by turning off switches through out the basements. The switches only disable the power in a certain room.

Notes[]
These notes were removed following v1.19.4:
Worker's note #1
Today I've met an interesting person who inspires
confidence with just one look. He offered me
work and safety. Though... I've never worked at a
factory, I was promised to be trained. Even free
meals are provided! That's a truly life-changing
meeting.
Worker's note #2
I was wrong. There's plenty of work, and the work
is hard. I haven't seen sunlight for a month or so...
They feed us, but poorly; promise that things are
going to get better soon. At least, there's proper
protection, there are many guards, and they're
well-fed. Zombies won't get through.
Worker's note #3
Nothing is changing. We're like slaves here. Barely
fed, sleeping in cages. The guards don't protect
us but watch us like wardens not letting us
escape. Tomorrow we'll rebel and if it works out,
we'll go east.
